What is CareLink?
CareLink is a nonprofit agency, founded in 1979, that provides resources for older people and their families in Central Arkansas.
What is CareLink's vision?
We envision a community of people who celebrate living and are aging well.
What is CareLink's mission?
To connect older people and their families with resources to meet the opportunities and challenges of aging. We accomplish this by:
-
Providing in-home services to help homebound older people live in their homes as long as possible.
-
Offering activities and volunteer opportunities that help active older people stay fit, healthy and involved.
-
Helping family caregivers navigate the maze of available services and care for aging family members.
How many people does CareLink help each year?
Last year the agency served more than 19,000 older people and their families in six central Arkansas counties — Faulkner, Lonoke, Monroe, Prairie, Pulaski and Saline.

I am a family member or friend who cares for an older person. How do I find information about CareLink?
You can contact the professionals with our Information and Assistance service at 800-482-6359. They're ready to listen and help determine what your family needs to keep both you and your older friend or family member as active and independent as possible.
Does CareLink need volunteers?
There are a number of areas where interested members of the community can help at CareLink. We always need more volunteers to deliver Meals On Wheels. The Volunteer Ombudsman Program also needs volunteers to visit nursing homes and help rehabilitation centers.
CareLink’s regional ombudsmen advocate for the residents of these facilities. Volunteers also work in the Senior Companion program, which allows seniors to spend time each day with an older, homebound resident. Additional information about each of these opportunities — and more — can be found in the Volunteer section of this website.
