- 1 year secretarial experience
- Data processing
- 50 wpm typing
- Prefer experience with MS Office products

- Knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation
- Knowledge of telephone etiquette
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to organize information and materials
- Ability to enter data in spreadsheet or database
- Ability to speak clearly and write legibly
- Ability to project positive image of agency over the phone
Duties and Responsibilities
- Enters data into one or more databases
- Handles incoming mail
- Makes copies and distributes
- Creates and maintains files
- Maintains and handles problems with office equipment
- Faxes and receives documents
- Assists with general office duties as assigned
- Receives and handles incoming calls
- Forwards calls to proper person or takes messages to include name and number of caller
- Removes messages from voice mail as necessary
- Answers general inquiries about programs/services
- Greets and directs visitors
